Bound by industry Codes of Practice and world’s best practice

NSA is a member of the Australian Explosives Industry and Safety Group and is bound by the industry Codes of Practice and its obligations to the AEISG Constitution.

Recognised as promoting world’s best practice in the disciplines they describe, the Codes have been embraced by the regulators not only in Australia but in a number of other countries.

As a member of the Group, NSA regularly works with the regulators and authorities in each State, with the UN body overseeing explosives and precursors. In addition, NSA also works with a number of other statutory bodies involved in the design and application of industry best practice.

Working towards ISO accreditation, all of our systems and procedures are aligned with the requirements of the system, with audit and accreditation to be undertaken in the near future.

Our approach is based on safe work. We believe in the control of the drill and blast process by the operator; with the delivery systems designed with safety, reliability, and robustness as key attributes. We also believe that the current bulk explosive technology should be rolled out to more users, particularly to teams in the underground environment.
